polarize me! lol. david was sweet enough to let me purchase a polarizing filter for my camera saturday night.. i also purchased a neutral density filter but haven't tried it out yet.. usually, you should invest in a top quality filters, but since it was for our cheap kit lens, i figured there was no real reason to invest in a top notch filter right now.. (someday) my new (and much better) lens will be a different size (i probably will never use the kit lens ever again once i get a new lens).. but after seeing the results from a cheap filter.. i sort of wish we had spent the extra $$ on a better quality filter.. but as david says.. "it's better than what you had before", and that's the truth!..

it was WAY too hot for me to go to the botanical gardens and play with my new filters.. 102F today.. again.. :::gaaaahhh::: (i really hate this texas heat.... hate. hate. hate). i tested it out on our balcony this afternoon before we left to see "the dark knight". (which was okay.. nothing special.. heath ledger's 'joker' was wicked awesome though.. the story was B average at best.. and i felt it was way too long for a movie.. either way, david and i both enjoyed it.. and it's a shame no one can replace heath, joker was the best)

back to the polarizer.. i took the first picture with the "correct" exposure without my polarizer filter on. then took the second picture, set at the "correct" exposure, with the polarizer.. you can see a HUGE difference! i am not happy with this example.. it isn't very attractive lol.. however, i couldn't wait to try it out.. these are unedited photo's.

check out this idiotdork who parked at the movie theaters today.. we arrived there around 1pm.. noticed his mad parking skillz.. made fun of him for a quick moment and walked on.. the car was STILL there when we left after the movie around 6pm.. david and i could not stop laughing at this idiot. i took a picture for keeps!
